Hello again reader,
I hope you are well and learning about basics of affiliate with a sense adventure and enjoyment.
In the last post I wrote about the final two emails in the your initial sequence of five you send out when someone has subscribed to your list. Now I want to talk about what happens next.
Your emailing subscribers does not end there, and for the future you will continue to email them daily. These will be a mixture of education, entertainment, and offers. How will you entertain them is really the question which needs answering.
Obviously you are not running your version of the Apollo Theatre unless you are exceptional as a comedy writer as well as a marketer. You probably do not have a rip roar high adventure life either like Indiana Jones. So what is the scheme?
Basically you just have to think of things that happen in your life as it goes along which can be woven into an email along with educational points which help the subscriber understand something else about marketing, something of real value which enhances his online life in a tangible way.
This could be a story about a pet, or about visiting a relative or something you saw on your shopping trip. The possibilities are endless but you do have to be aware of what is going on and constantly thinking of things to send your list. It is an art and probably it will take a bit of time to learn.
It is important to remember,as before , you are not just pitching your list with offers, but being subtle about it. And obviously information/value you give has to be relevant to your offer.
Now this process of trying to keep your list entertained with small stories about your life and tales you can come up with, interwoven with teaching value is called edutainment. You do not have to provide pitch every time and often it is more important to build up the feeling of rapport to your readers. Treat them as valuable-which is what they are of course. Which is not to say that making money is not, but consider again how you feel when someone is always pitching offers to you. Bored? Irritated?
Okay,I think you probably get it! The percentages of what to put in emails are: 10% offer, 60% entertainment,30% valuable training. You can alter the last two a bit,but do not do more offers.
Anyway thank you for your attention which is always valuable to me. Happy marketing!
