Hi readers, I hope you are doing well and feeling up for what lies ahead.
Obviously before you are going to get anywhere with your emailing campaigns to your subscribers, you are going to need to grab their attention.
So there are ways you can do this. Excitement, Surprise, Shock, Fear are just some of the reactions you can appeal to when you write the headlines to your emails.
Writing using acronyms is one way. OMG,FYI, BTW are just some of the ones in use to draw a reader’s attention. But you do have to be careful not to do this one too often. Otherwise your recipients’ email servers may become suspicious. Also using dollar or pound signs too much may get you put in the spam folder.
Basically email headlines should be short ,snappy and in keeping with the main text of the email. But there is more to them than that, so here I will go into a few different style in some depth.
As mentioned there are the acronym ones, which often have an exclamation mark at the end. The message is that you should open to get what the whole message because there is surprise point made, or a clarification of some earlier message, or some vital piece of information.
Surprise headlines can signal something very good, or something terrible. Maybe the email is about a special bonus package you can get if you buy the product on sale, which would be a reason for an OMG headline. No wonder! Someone is using enticement to get you to buy.
Or the message can be a dire warning. If you do not know the following for instance you may find yourself in a spot of bother when something else happens. Of course it may mean the end of a special offer. Or it may mean that if you do not buy x footsore product, you may get such and such a problem with your feet. Anything really.
FYI ( for your information) may mean that you need to know this (a piece of valuable knowledge contained in the email, or an offer made) in order to succeed. Or you may need to get x product in order to really succeed in getting traffic to your site. The possibilities are endless.
BTW means fairly similar to FYI. For instance-‘Did you know that pdf you go for the special offer I am telling you about you get extra bonus’?’ and so on. Or ‘ Did you know that you can start your own online business if you by this product?’ This is a fairly standard front end offer which people make for online marketing, to draw people into the whole nexus of online business.
Well, that is all for today. I hope you enjoyed it and found the information useful. Till next time……
